What our readers think
Following our story on Ms Harris’s lack of policy heft, readers wrote in to say that Mr Trump’s platform was at least as vague. Don Ullmann felt that “we know where she stands on most key issues” and that it was “smart of her to avoid too much detail”. Thomas Doorley agreed, saying that loosely defined policies and only participating in one debate would minimise her “chances of exposure”. But some responses suggested keeping shtum might not be the best tactic. Barry Pollara, a “life-long conservative Republican”, thought Mr Trump would “do real damage to the country”, but said that he’d “wait for more info before voting”.
