We'll be announcing our conference schedule in just a few more days, but in the mean time we're...
Announcing Longhorn PHP 2025's keynote lineup
This year our main conference days will be punctuated by four powerful keynotes from folks inside and outside the PHP community. Y'all won't want to miss these.
To kick the conference off, we'll have Cory House explain The Immutable Laws of Software and Life. Actions have consequences, in life and in code, and Cory will walk us through how to build software better by understanding these side effects and tradeoffs.
Cory House
Keynotes will continue Saturday morning, starting off with Florian Engelhardt digging past the frameworks and software abstractions and into the nitty gritty of what makes software tick. It's Turtles all the way down!
Florian Engelhardt
Saturday afternoon, we'll hear from Cori Lint, as she applies lessons learned from thousands of hours practicing classical music to software development in Work Smarter: Code Like a Musician. As someone who dabbles in playing an instrument, this keynote...erm...strikes a chord with the Longhorn PHP organizer writing this particular announcement email.
Cori Lint
To close out the 2025 edition of Longhorn PHP we'll have Ben Ramsey waxing eloquent about Saving Open Source. With a backdrop of licensing changes, maintainer burnout, and corporate drama, Ben will take us back to the roots of open source as a movement rather than as a corporate strategy, then look forward at how we can save the movement that's given us as software developers so much.

Want to sponsor?
Without sponsors like PHP Architect, Vehikl, Remote Dev Force, and more, events like Longhorn PHP wouldn't be possible. If you'd like to support our community, find top PHP developers for your team, or show off your company's tools to an audience seeking to level up their craft, we'd love to have you as a sponsor for the sixth year of Longhorn PHP.
Our Blind Bird sponsor rate for Longhorn PHP 2025 closes Friday, August 15th; after that, sponsor prices will go up. Sponsor at Platinum or above in the next few days and the included "conference email" benefit will coincide with our imminent schedule announcement email.
Sponsorships start as low as $400 for Bronze (if booked on or before the 15th), with a special $100 Community tier for the user groups and open-source projects that make the community a vibrant one.
