Hey there - we just published a new essay.
What does it mean to “try hard”? What are the odds that you and I share the exact same definition of “try”? Or that LeBron James shares our definition?
(I think the odds are quite low.)
This essay is all about words, how we overestimate our understanding of them, and what we might be able to gain by studying them with more intensity.
Until next week,
- Carter and Jordan
P.S. Recently our emails have been landing in spam for some people. So we have a small favor to ask - if this did land in spam, can you move it to primary? If it didn’t, can you (i) mark as important or (ii) click a link and/or reply to the email? Thanks :)
P.P.S. Last week we officially opened up Writing Club. It’s a place to write with others and get useful feedback on your writing. Check it out if you’re interested. Right now, if you join you can use the discount “quartermile” for a $50 off founding member discount.
