New Abney Park Album for 2025: Cataclysm!
We’re writing and recording something new, raw, layered, and honest. This is a gritty and gorgeous album that I think you're going to love. We took inspiration from artists like Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Peter Gabriel, Billy Idol, and Cab Calloway, and mixed all those flavors into a vat of Abney Park’s sound.
We are bringing in a huge cast of talent for this:

But here's the problem:
In today’s streaming economy, artists make almost nothing compared to what we earned back when people bought CDs and records. Spotify and Apple Music now keep the revenue we would have made. We get pennies.
But albums take over a year to make, and cost thousands of dollars to produce. Letting the streaming sites keep all the money would send us into bankruptcy.
So we’re doing it differently.
Last year, we crowdfunded our album, and for the first time since streaming took over, we actually made a profit. Not just pennies from Spotify, but real support from Abney Park fans.
It worked so well that this year, we're doing it again. People contribute what they can, and they can listen to the album however they want, CD, MP3s, or even just streaming on your favorite site, since you’ve already paid for it! :)
