Political hack: Diplomats in Southeast Asia were targeted in a cyber spying campaign earlier this year that was probably waged by a China-linked group, according to a report from Google researchers.

Mideast data centers: Saudi Arabia artificial intelligence startup Humain has broken ground on its first data centers and plans to have them running by next year with chips imported from the US.

SpaceX delay: Elon Musk’s SpaceX delayed a critical test launch of its massive Starship rocket for a second straight day. A heavy cloud cover caused Monday’s cancellation after a planned Sunday liftoff was scrubbed because of a liquid oxygen leak.

Buyout firm Thoma Bravo is at it again. The private equity firm agreed to buy Verint Systems for $1.23 billion in cash just days after cutting a deal to acquire software provider Dayforce for $12.3 billion. Verint specializes in software for customer service automation. Thoma Bravo has been aggressively bidding for software assets this year.
