New book announcement!
I'm excited to announce a new book, called Think Weirder: The Year's Best Science Fiction Ideas.
For the last two months I've been working on finishing up reading all the stories from 2024 that were published in the major science fiction magazines, and a few more from smaller venues — the total came to 391 stories. Out of those stories (which were already high-quality enough that they were published), I chose the sixteen stories that I felt had the best concept-driven, relatively near-future storylines, while maintaining a high bar for writing quality. These are the stories that will be in the book!

The book will be released at the end of October. I'm very excited to get this out to readers. "Year's Best" anthologies don't tend to be very popular, but I think this series has the potential to be the most-read science fiction anthology series out there. We live in interesting times right now, and stories that get more people comfortable with a wide variety of potential futures are valuable.
