There’s plenty going on in Trumpworld today, as the White House is busy trying — unsuccessfully — to argue that a recently surfaced birthday message and drawing from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein are fake. The Supreme Court is also back with yet another shadow docket decision, this one about Trump’s efforts to withhold congressionally appropriated foreign aid, and it announced it would hear arguments in the case over the legality of Trump’s tariffs regime. 

We’re keeping an eye on all of those stories, but nothing has yielded anything concrete enough to take up any more of your time, so we’ll leave you with one good story and be back in your inbox tomorrow.

I thought this New York Times profile of Damar Hamlin, a safety for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, was a great read. In January 2023, during his second season in the league, Hamlin suffered a near-fatal heart attack on the field after a tackle went badly wrong. Miraculously, he not only survived but returned to the league, and the incident rocketed him to national fame. Now, he’s dealing with the aftermath of the accident, pouring time into off-the-field causes, and still fighting for playing time on the Bills.
