We've been hard at work putting together a memorable sixth year of Longhorn PHP, and we're now just five weeks from this year's event. Thanks to sponsors joining us in the journey, we have an announcement or two to share...and a reminder that Early Bird ticket pricing is closing soon!
Austin, we have an afterparty.
Thanks to the PHP community stalwarts at Roave, the Longhorn PHP hallway track will continue into the evening on Friday, October 24th with an on-site afterparty. Grab a slice of pizza, your choice of beverage (alcoholic or otherwise), and hang out with other attendees, conference speakers, organizers, and volunteers. If you have an in-person ticket, we're looking forward to seeing you there.
...and now a word from the Platinum sponsor who's making that event possible:
The Roave consortium offers PHP teams best-in-class development talent—when they need it—to help master complex technology challenges, modernize code bases, or simply lend a hand with projects.
Austin PHP @ Longhorn PHP
We're also excited to announce that a special edition of the Austin PHP meetup will be returning to Longhorn PHP the evening of Thursday, October 23rd at 6pm. Show up, hang out, and present a lightning talk either on the spot or that you submitted ahead of time. As with all Austin PHP meetups, this one's free and open to the public; no conference ticket required (though we'd love for you to RSVP).
Want to join in the fun online? We'll be streaming the event on YouTube via the MergePHP channel, likewise freely available.
Early Bird pricing ends soon!
Don't miss out on this year's conference, whether you're attending the event in-person or virtually...and definitely don't miss discounted pricing on a conference ticket. Early Bird pricing will conclude end-of-day Friday, September 26th, after which ticket prices will jump another $75 for in-person tickets and $25 for virtual tickets.
If you're buying five or more conference tickets, reply to this email and we'll give you a special rate, though that rate will also increase after September 26th.
Need a hotel?
If you're attending from out of town, you can be steps from the conference action by booking into our block at the conference hotel. Booking into the block helps support the conference, and gets you a special rate of $130 plus tax per night.
Want to sponsor?
Longhorn PHP wouldn't exist without the generous support of our sponsors, including the dozen-plus who've stepped up this year. If you want to present your product or service to the PHP community, Longhorn PHP is a great place to do it, while supporting a by-the-community, for-the-community event. Sponsorship slots at each tier are still available, though Platinum-level event sponsorships are going quickly!
Be social with us!
Longhorn PHP is now on Bluesky at @longhornphp.com; if you're on that social network, give us a follow. If the Fediverse is more your speed, we're @longhorn@phpc.social there. We're also on LinkedIn, Twitter, and even occasionally Facebook. So if you're still doing social media, give us a follow on the platform(s) of your choice.
That's all for now, but we'll have more exciting announcements soon, so watch this space...and hopefully see all y'all in Austin in a little over a month!
