📣 Publii v0.47 is here – Introducing the Notification Center!

We're pleased to announce the release of Publii CMS v0.47! This update is packed with a major new feature, several highly-requested enhancements, and important bug fixes designed to streamline your workflow and keep you better informed. This release is heavily influenced by community feedback, continuing our mission to make Publii even more powerful and user-friendly. Here's a quick overview of what's new:

New Features:

• Introducing the Notification Center: Stay up-to-date with the latest Publii news without ever leaving the app. The new Notification Center delivers alerts for application, theme, and plugin updates directly to you. 

• Enhanced Link Controls in Editors: We've added advanced options for managing links. You can now add custom CSS classes in the WYSIWYG editor for better styling and, in the Block Editor, you can also set the title attribute, significantly improving your site's accessibility.

• Custom S3 Cache-Control Headers: Based on valuable community feedback, you can now define custom cache-control headers for S3-compatible deployments. This provides greater flexibility and ensures better performance and compatibility with third-party CDNs.

• File Manager in the Sidebar: For quicker access, you can now enable a direct link to the File Manager in the main sidebar. 
  
  

Improvements:

• Updated Core Technologies: We've updated several core dependencies, including the Electron framework that Publii is built on. This brings the security patches, performance improvements, and bug fixes from the underlying technologies.

• Improved Stability on Linux: To enhance reliability on Linux systems, we've optimized the image processing library to prevent potential memory-related issues during site generation.

• More explicit Theme Error Messages: Publii now provides more descriptive error messages when a theme's configuration file is invalid, making it much easier to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with custom themes.
