The best thing I read on my Kindle this week was Sophie Elmhirst’s A Marriage at Sea, about a British couple surviving months on the ocean after a shipwreck. I was reading it while my daughter and I were waiting for seats at our local robot sushi place. She could no longer stand it, took it away from me, and started reading it herself. This is why everyone needs their own Kindle. Now that Prime Days happen twice a year, there’s no reason to ever buy an Amazon device at full price.

I have not done this, as the Kindle Paperwhite does everything I need it to, which is to allow me to read on camping trips and at robot sushi, but I do have multiple coworkers who have bought the Kindle Scribe on previous Prime Days. They swear by it for annotating books, as well as taking notes.

We have been ranting about air fryers for years now, but I do have to say that being able to air-fry frozen french fries and vegetables has been a game-changer for my kids. I already own the Breville that reviewer Matthew Korfhage mentions (and replaced my conventional oven with it!), but the best one we’ve tested is currently on massive sale.
