As you probably know by now, we're in the middle of our Winter Subscription Drive. You've heard a couple different spiels from us cryptic folks over the last month, so here's my personal pitch: I love editing puzzles at AVCX Cryptics because of the unique voices we have at the table. We're dedicated to growing cryptic crosswords on our side of the pond, and have worked hard to communicate well with our solvers and help new constructors do the same. If you enjoy all this wordplay as much as I do, please help us spread the word.

Bob Weisz is a true cryptic sicko, having written over 120 minis on his blog Tales From The Cryptic, and serving as co-editor-in-chief for Cryptic Crossweird, a new venue for midsize cryptics that he started with friends Dob & Momes. Reportedly he has done some non-cryptic-related activities, like walking a dog or eating food, but these rumors have no hard evidence as of yet. He's excited to be back in the AVCX, and is very grateful for Steve's editing, which helped hone the puzzle to its best possible form!
