Fall Update Week 2025
The end of October saw our first ever seasonal update. Over the course of a week, we announced a series of product updates designed to make secure networking boring (in the best way). Here's what you missed:
Tailscale Services (beta) | Make defined resources services available on your tailnet, not tied to any particular hardware. Services get a MagicDNS name, respect granular access controls, and can provide intelligent routing based on availability rules, much like cloud balancing.
Tailscale Peer Relays (beta) | Customers can now turn any node into their own UDP-based traffic relay, performing at speeds rivaling direct connections and providing flexibility in cloud environments.
Multiple tailnets (alpha) | Organizations can create and manage more than one tailnet with the same identity provider, providing room for sandboxes, staging, and other needs. Developers can also use API-created tailnets to provide customers and projects their own tailnets.
Considering using Tailscale at work? We'd love to hear from you.
We're working on improving our Bring Tailscale to Work program, and we need your input. If you've ever considered using Tailscale at work, we'd appreciate a few minutes of your time to share your thoughts. As a thank you, we'll give you free access to our Personal Plus plan for a year.
