ChatGPT has quickly become the new default entry point to the web while classic search still lingers in the background, and tools like Perplexity’s browser make this shift feel very real in everyday use. VCs, meanwhile, keep shoveling billions into frontier AI even as FOMO replaces proper due diligence, with investors scrambling to get a logo into the model race no matter how absurd the timelines or check sizes. Shopping bots promise effortless Christmas gifts and more informed customers, but for now they mostly add another noisy layer on top of already messy ecommerce journeys instead of fixing broken basics. Suno is minting an absolutely ridiculous amount of AI music and now sits on a multibillion valuation, which sounds impressive on a pitch deck yet raises the question who actually wants an infinite firehose of synthetic songs in their playlists. And Opus 4.5 shows how fast we are moving toward on demand software creation where “vibecoding” turns vague ideas into production code at a terrifying pace, even if the model still occasionally hallucinates tools and glosses over hard editorial feedback.
