Apple AI departure: The iPhone maker’s AI chief is stepping down after the company fell behind rivals on the development of artificial intelligence tools and services for its consumer devices.

Privacy leak: South Korea is investigating a data leak at online retailer Coupang that exposed more than 30 million accounts, the biggest hack of consumers in the country’s history. CEO Park Dae-jun was grilled by lawmakers for hours on Tuesday.

Netflix cash: Warner Bros was fielding a second round of bids on Monday, including a mostly cash offer from Netflix, in an auction that could wrap up in the coming days or weeks.

Music piracy lawsuit:  The US Supreme Court weighed giving internet providers a stronger legal shield in copyright piracy cases, questioning a $1 billion music industry lawsuit filed against Cox Communications.

Beta Technologies, a maker of an electric-powered plane, has “buy” ratings from most of the analysts who have initiated coverage since the company went public last month. Despite the recommendations, shares of Beta have dropped 23% from the $34 IPO price on Nov. 3.

Intel and TSMC, longtime rivals and recent partners, are at odds over the departure of one Lo Wei-jen from Taiwan to California, writes Debby Wu. Lo, a former senior vice president at TSMC, joined Intel in October and is alleged to have taken trade secrets with him, according to a lawsuit filed by TSMC. Taiwan and its most valuable company have taken this departure to heart, demonstrating their commitment to retaining the tech leadership that makes the company indispensable to the likes of Apple and Nvidia.
