I really enjoyed this recent Substack column by Don Moynihan and Pamela Herd, who wrote about the idea of an “Admin Night” party (first covered in the Wall Street Journal by Chris Colin, who is interviewed in the column).
Essentially, it’s a get-together to do all the tedious, tiny tasks of adult life — but you get to do it in a shared space with friends, and maybe some snacks, and that can make all of that life admin feel a little less overwhelming.
