It's been about a month and a half since the release of Think Weirder: The Year's Best Science Fiction Ideas, a 16-story anthology featuring Greg Egan, Isabel J. Kim, Ray Nayler, Caroline M. Yoachim, and twelve other wonderful authors. I'm so grateful for how well it has been recieved — in addition to being the #1 New Release in the Short Stories Anthologies category on Amazon, the book hit the front page of Hacker News twice in two weeks (if you're curious you can read the discussions about the tools I used to build the anthology and the project itself). I was also happy to see a thoughtful review from Reddit's tarvalon, a prolific reviewer whose opinions I respect.
With holidays around the corner I just wanted to send you all two offers:
- If you buy (or have already bought) the print version of Think Weirder, I'm happy to email you a free DRM-free epub of the book as well, just email me a screenshot your receipt (joe@thinkweirder.com). Maybe buy a gift copy for your favorite intellectually curious person and keep the ebook for yourself :)
- You can still buy the DRM-free epub by itself for $5.
This will be my last email of the year, I'm grateful to all of you for following along with my erratic science fiction projects! Have an excellent last few weeks of 2025 and start 2026 strong. Take care,
Joe
