This year was my first full year at Slate. I wrote about how Leonardo DiCaprio gets away with it and whatever happened to the Yes Men. I saw Katy Perry’s flopping tour, as well as reported on her very-real love affair with Justin Trudeau. I visited Kathy Griffin in her Malibu home for a profile, and wrote an advice column to get more of you divorced. I reviewed the very bad Olivia Nuzzi memoir and even if the Jays lost the World Series, it was worth it all. Scamfluencers had a complicated year but a good one. Our archive is robust with episodes and more will come in the new year. Do not do fraud. SUCKER PUNCH, my second book, came out this year too. (You should read my book and not the AI version.) I loved meeting you all year long: you, who rescued yourself, and wanted to tell me how. That made a lot of a bad year feel worth it. I hope you keep telling me that you got out of whatever it is you had to escape. I need the reminder, too. You’re currently a free subscriber to Hater Nation. Nothing’s truly free, though, is it? |
