I've been thinking about the multiverse. I believe it helps to think about it when you are at a crossroads in life. In any science fiction novel, there's a big "what if?" at the center, and multiverse stories ask, "What if your life took a different path?" The lesson is usually that any path leads to an imperfect life. You can never make an exact right decision that's all sunshine and daisies. So, you should just chill and make the best decision you can with the information you have right now. Therefore, the multiverse is a stress reliever. You're welcome 😏.

Possibly the number-one thing you should be looking forward to this year is the selection of new listens arriving in your near future. Matt Dinniman is coming out with a new novel that's not related to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series; the author of Mickey7 has dreamed up a future where humans are pets; author Alexis Hall combined Moby Dick and Gideon the Ninth to create Hell’s Heart; and debut novelist Cameron Sullivan explores an alternate version of a bit of French history.

Here are two new titles you can listen to right now: George Falls Through Time, which is a title that explains itself, and A Vow in Vengeance, which my fellow editor Patty says "sank its claws into me fast and never really let go."

Science fiction and fantasy do the found-family trope right. Defeating monsters, getting lost in space, or doing "one last job" together makes for some pretty good bonding time, and in these stories, our heroes find their forever friends because of it. Cozy up with some of the best listens featuring a whole cast of lovable characters.

Are aliens out there? It's one of the biggest mysteries we don't yet have an answer for. Some say yes, but we'll never find them. Others say no. And still others say they're already here. It's an ever-ripe subject for both science and science fiction. Explore the unknown with our best audiobooks about aliens.
