It’s like Jesus once told me, “man can you walk on your own for a little while my back is starting to hurt.”

As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, I did not win president.

Was it a long shot? Sure, but so was the time this goalie took a long ass shot into the other team’s goal.

The loss (me not winning president again) sucks, but as Rocky often says in the Youtube motivation compilations I listen to while working out, and I am writing this from memory, “It’s not about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit! No one in life not me nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. That’s how winning is done!!”

There’s definitely a couple lines before “that’s how winning is done!” but I forget them. This is when Rocky is talking to his son in Rocky 5 or whatever one they filmed recently.

Elections are like those 10 second races at the Olympics. Who wins or loses isn’t really about what happens that day and definitely not in the days after but rather what was happening in the years leading up to that race.

In fact this holds true for all Olympic events, which meet every four years just like the Olympics. Well no, there are summer and winter olympics but how long can those really last, what with climate change and all.
