OpenAI expansion: The artificial intelligence company has established a legal entity in South Korea and plans to open an office in Seoul as it seeks to propel further adoption of its products.

Swedish supercomputer: Nvidia and a cluster of businesses backed by Sweden’s influential Wallenberg family, will develop what the group calls the largest enterprise AI supercomputer in the country. Nvidia also said it will establish an AI technology center in Sweden to advance research with industrial partners.

Brin’s donation: Sergey Brin’s mystery gift last week of Alphabet Inc. shares valued at almost $700 million went to a trio of philanthropic organizations, according to a spokesperson for the Google co-founder’s family office.

EngineAI is looking to raise money later this year at a $1 billion valuation, seeking capital to join a global race to develop humanoid robots. The Chinese startup, founded in 2023, is hoping to raise $139 million around the fourth quarter, co-founder Ren Guowen told Bloomberg.
